大学 中庸（英文）-西方汉学经典影印02

修中诚英译的《大学 中庸》，1942年英国伦敦J.M.Dent图书公司出版，本次即影印该版本。由四部分构成：一、序言，交代了写作缘起，特别感谢了陈寅恪、王维诚、顾颉刚、朱谦之这四位中国学者。二、长篇的导论，分别论述了儒家思想对欧洲的影响，儒家思想的发展，《大学 中庸》产生的社会背景，以及成书年代和作者问题。三、《大学 中庸》的文本翻译及注释。四、附录，包括六篇短文。

修中诚（1883—1956），原名修斯（Ernest Richard Hughes），英国汉学家，为中英学术交流做出了杰出贡献。1911—1933年在华，活跃于中国学术界，尤其与胡适、冯友兰、陈寅恪等关系密切；1934—1947年主持牛津大学汉学研究和教学；1942—1943年再度来华。主要著作有：《西方世界对中国的侵略》（1937）、《古典时期的中国哲学》（1942）、《大学 中庸》英译本（1942）、冯友兰《新原道》英译本（1947）、《中国的宗教》（1950）、《大汉双城记：汉朝生活和思想的剪影》（1960）等。
